General Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply for all guests at the HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar.
1. Bookings
Bookings are based on the availability of the rooms; the HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar reserves the right to refuse bookings for important reasons. Payments generally fall due on departure; however, the hotel in question may request a deposit or the provision of credit card details from guests when they book or when they arrive.
2. Arrival and departure times
Guests may check in between 12 noon and 6 p.m.. Earlier or later arrivals are possible only by agreement. If a guest has not arrived by 6 p.m. and has not informed the hotel of his/her later arrival, the hotel is entitled to let the room to someone else. On the day of departure, guests must vacate their rooms and pay their bill by 11 a.m.. Any delays in this respect will entitle the HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar to charge for another night's accommodation.
3. Prices
All prices are the current prices per room which are published at Reception and which are available on request. The prices of extras are available on request.
4. Payment
All outstanding bills must be paid on departure.
5. Cancellation
Subject to what is stated in Figure 1, the HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar reserves the right to charge the following cancellation fees in the event of cancellation of a booking by the guest, unless the hotel is fully booked:
5.1 For cancellation of 1 - 2 double rooms or single rooms
- Receipt of cancellation notification 7 to 10 days before the booked accommodation date – 25% of the price per night
- Receipt of cancellation notification 1 to 7 days before the booked accommodation date – 75% of the price per night
- Receipt of cancellation notification less than 24 hours before the booked accommodation date – 90% of the price per night
- No-shows will be charged in full.
- The costs of booked breakfast will not be charged in the event of cancellation.
5.2 For cancellation of bookings
- from 4 nights' accommodation
- of holiday apartments
- bookings of 3 rooms and more
the following cancellation conditions apply:
- Receipt of cancellation notification 30 days or more before the booked accommodation date - 25% of the price per night
- Receipt of cancellation notification up to 20 days before the booked accommodation date - 75% of the price per night
- Receipt of cancellation notification less than 20 days before the booked accommodation date - 90% of the price per night
- No-shows will be charged in full
- The costs of booked breakfast will not be charged in the event of cancellation
Cancellations must be made in writing, by fax or e-mail. The cancellation will be confirmed by fax or e-mail, with the cancellation fees to be charged.
6. Right of refusal
The HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar reserves the right to refuse admission to or accommodation in the HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar to any guest if, upon arrival of the guest, the hotel management is of the justified opinion that such guest is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, is inappropriately dressed or behaves threateningly, aggressively or otherwise unacceptably.
7. Disturbance of the peace
The HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar reserves the right to eject a guest from the HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar if such guest disturbs the peace, annoys or insults other guests or the hotel personnel or behaves unacceptably.
8. Hotel regulations
Guests must abide by the reasonable regulations and procedures applicable in the hotel, especially the health and safety provisions, the safety procedures and the statutory registration provisions. The preparation/cooking/heating up of the guests' own food and drink in the hotel and in particular in the hotel rooms is not allowed. This rule does not apply for the two holiday apartments in the attic storeys of the HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar. Children under 14 years of age must be under the supervision of an adult guest at all times. Pets are only allowed on request and a charge will be made for them.
9. Loss, liability, etc.
Guests are obliged to notify the hotel management immediately of loss of or damage to their property as soon as this is discovered and to support the HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar in preparing notifications for the Police. The HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar can in no way be held responsible to its guests for loss of or damage to their property occurring as a result of inappropriate behaviour or negligence on the part of guests, force majeure or situations in which the guest alone is responsible for the property in question.
Guests are not allowed to enter areas of the hotel which are designated closed to the public. The HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar is not in any way responsible for fatal or physical injury or impairment of health or loss of or damage to the property of guests which are caused in areas designated as such. The liability of the HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar for losses of or damage to the property of guests is limited to €75 per object or €150 in total. This does not apply for cases in which the property was stolen, damaged or lost through gross negligence or deliberate action on the part of the hotel. These General Terms & Conditions are governed by German law, and you agree that the German courts are competent for all disputes arising out of this contract.
Guests are liable for losses, damage or fatal or physical injury or impairment of health which are caused by actions on the part of the guest in the hotel. The HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar is in no way liable for losses or damage occurring to guests' vehicles. This does not apply for cases in which such loss or damage can be imputed to gross negligence or deliberate action on the part of the hotel.
In order to avoid any doubt, the hotel does not exclude its own liability in cases in which fatal or physical injury or impairment of health are caused by the hotel's negligence. The HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar will do everything reasonable to ensure that bookings can be carried out according to this contract; it reserves the right to transfer a booking to another hotel or comparable size and comparable standards in the same area. The customer is aware that the HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar is in no way responsible for loss or damage caused to a customer as a result of any transfer to another hotel. The HotelPension Am Goethehaus in Weimar is in no way responsible for failures or delays in respect of the fulfilment of its obligations under this contract if the failure or delay is due to reasons beyond the reasonable control of the hotel, especially wars, the danger of war, civil or political dispute or unrest, riots, natural disasters, fires, epidemics, severe weather, (threatened or actual) terrorist activities, military campaigns, actions on the part of the government or authorities, labour disputes, force majeure, failures in the power supply or of machines, loss of or faults in externally provided services or provisions and all similar cases which are outside the control of the hotel.
